ESPON SUPER Stakeholder workshop on «The challenges of sustainable urbanization and land-take in Europe»
Population increase in cities, growing metropolitan areas and change in land use patterns in and around agglomerations are the main development trends in Europe today. This leads to major impacts on the environment, productive use of soil as well as climate change.
Experts from whole over Europe are invited to exchange and discuss potential effects on the development of future land-take in Europe. As part of the interactive workshop results of two divergent scenarios will be presented and in-depth analyses by using a well-established territorial impact assessment tool.
The results of the workshop will be processed, especially for the development of recommendations to policymakers on sustainable land use and urbanisation interventions.
For free registration, please contact email@example.com until 22nd of September 2019.
The workshop is limited to 40 participants. The detailed workshop agenda will be sent to all participants after registrations.
